Annual Fund
While the true value of a Keys School education is hard to quantify, the cost of educating each student at Keys exceeds tuition every year. We supplement funding for our educational and extracurricular programs with money generated from annual fundraising activities, special gifts to the school and, from time to time, capital campaigns. The generosity of Keys School’s supporters enables us not only to maintain but also to enhance the quality of our students’ educational experience each and every day.
Annual Fund Campaign
The Annual Fund Campaign is the cornerstone of our annual fundraising efforts because it is the second largest source of the school’s revenue after tuition. These funds directly support our operating budget. With 80% of the annual budget directed to faculty and staff compensation, contributions to the Annual Fund campaign increase our ability to attract and retain the most qualified and motivated teachers. In addition, this campaign funds valuable components of a Keys School education such as laptops and the latest technology, outdoor education trips, after-school sports and equipment, and Keys financial aid program. Keys prides itself on being a well-rounded and diversified school. This is possible due to strong community support during this campaign. During the 2011-12 school year, Keys distributed over $700,000 in financial aid.
The goal for the 2011-12 Annual Fund campaign is $500,000. Each year we ask families, faculty and staff, and friends of the school to make a gift to the best of their ability. Our goal is 100% participation and we ask for families who are able to give at the $3,000 gap level which funds the gap between the cost of tuition and the actual cost to educate each Keys student. Every gift – from $25 to $25,000 - is important because it is a gift of participation and support for our Keys School community.

Keys School is grateful for the support of its parents, alumni, grandparents, alumni parents, and friends. Because fundraising is a increasingly important part of our school's livelihood, we host the following events to say "thank you" to our leadership donors:
Annual Donor Recognition Event
Held in September 2011, all donors who have made a single gift of $3,000 or more during the 2010-11 school year will be invited to this event.
Annual Leadership Dinner
Held in May 2012, all donors who have made a single gift of $10,000 or more during the 2011-12 school year and/or a lifetime giving total of $100,000 or more will be invited to this event.
